I just purchased the Adventure pack and tried to send my household on a getaway. As soon as I attempted to launch the getaway, it asked if I wanted to extend my trip, as if the trip had already come to an end. I was unable to actually launch the getaway, as it would not allow me to navigate away from the "Extend Trip" screen. I was forced to return the household back home.

I merged this with the bug report. Please send your save to EA.
I ran a quick test on a savegame without mods. The journey is interrupted if I manually set the end time. If I don't set an end time, the journey starts without immediately ending.
