Achievements reset

I've had this happen to me more than once. I just resigned myself to it.
Points are useless anyway.

 I'm pretty sure in-game achievements are connected to each save and not global. My achievements in game are global for all saves. In save A, I have introvert and loner and some other achievements unlocked and have 160 points. In save B, suddenly I also have 160 points and the save unlocked achievements when I haven't played there yet. I make a new save (save C) without cc, which I don't use script mods. Still the same. I play an hour later and make a new game (save) and suddenly my achievements are at 0 again and everything is locked. Then I go into save B and save A achievements are locked again and are at 0 just like save C. I close the game and open it again and go into save A first this time. 160 points just as it was. I go into save B and C again and it also turned back into 160 points. Is there a way to fix my achievements system or is it supposed to be like this

to be sure, when starting the new save and switching between them, you completely turned off the game and restarted or did you just went to the main menu and started from there ?

I have a save file where I use no mods and no cheats. I also clear my caches before I load this game. I play in multiple households for the 10 households for 10 generation achievement. I also have one sim that is the main focus because it's a super sim challenge. The super sim is in the university stage and she always moves out to a new household to stay in the dorms during her terms. Once the term is over, I move her back into her original household as that is the household that I'm keeping all of the unlocks for such as CAS and build/buy unlocks. The main household never gets deleted because I always leave the Super Sim's other family members there. Today, I loaded the game with the university household that holds the Super Sim and I noticed I immediately got 3 achievements that I had previously unlocked. I checked the achievement screen and these 3 were the only ones unlocked despite having over 2,000 points before. I quit without saving. When I reloaded the game, I loaded back into the main household instead of the university household first. I noticed my 2,000 achievement points were there again.
