Auto-solving energy needs creates 'Pick up Toddler' instead

My house is too big for me to go and search for the beds, so I just click on the energy icon in their needs so they can auto-solve it. This works for my child and toddler sims, but for my adult sim, it causes him to ‘pick up’ toddler. Even if the toddler is asleep himself, he will still have ‘pick up’ in his queue every time I press energy.

I’ve tried many things like closing and reopening the game or going to manage worlds but he still always picks up toddler instead of going to bed. This didn’t happen when the toddler was an infant, and didn’t happen with my child when he was a toddler. This has also not happened before in previous saves, just this one. It also happens if we are at an event like geek con, instead of napping on a bench or sofa he will just pick up the toddler.

I don’t use mods/cc, I’m using PC version and I have these packs:

EP: Cottage living, seasons, get together, city living, growing together, cats & dogs

GP: Parenthood

SP: Tiny living, kids room stuff, movie hangout stuff

Kits: little campers kit

  • Auto-solving other needs works for you? I'm having an issue with all of them not working properly. Sometimes they do, but most of the time the click on the need's icon just doesn't do anything

This happened to me multiple times today even though I'd never seen it before then. Clicked the energy auto-solve, sim got an action to pick up toddler. I cancelled that and tried again. Same thing.

My sims house didn't actually have a bed so I thought that might be why (they do have couches to nap on), but it sounds like maybe that's not it.
