[BH] Trashley Giving Item to NPC Causing Reset

I don't really know what happened, how often it occurs, or if I can even replicate it. But I had several Sims on my lot: Kyle Kyleson (who was a stay over guest, engaged to my Sim), Trashley (who showed up at my door in Windenburg), and Sofia (spawned in the neighborhood). I was in a conversation with all of them. Trashley walked over to Kyle, and I got a notification "Kyle's picket feels a bit heavier. Who put this here? Carrot."

I thought this was odd, as he's never been one of my played characters. Then all the Sims reset.

I don't know if something went wrong, but it felt a bit weird. I've not had mods within this save or since the most recent update.
