Hi, I'm also dealing with the same issue. I thought I was imagining things but turns out I wasn't...this bug occurs when I switch households so that's going to be pain since I play rotationally.
THANK GOODNESS it's not just me!!! I thought my game was broken! I've been messing with it ALL DAY with no luck.
I also swap between multiple households in my current Legacy save, so having to re-hire the employees and then set their job duties over and over again was very tedious.
