[BH] Employees don't jobs in business

So, my sim purchased a karaoke bar. She hired a sim to tend bar & clean up. But she will not stay at the bar, and will not clean dirty dishes even though they are piled up everywhere. Instead, she is chatting with customers and singing at and/or watching the karaoke machine. It is growing increasingly frustrating that hired sims won't do the jobs they're assigned to do, and I still have to pay them at the end of the day for work they didn't do.

  • Same problem here. I have my sim running a lounge and has hired someone to bartend, but they basically never bartend. they just use all the things I put there for the customers to use, and all I can do is direct my sim to "criticize work". I'd previously had a different business that was an art center where the employees were primarily supposed to scrap crafts, give lectures and mentor, and that seemed to work a bit better. But this new one is totally not working. I'm wondering if it'd be better to just let them go and use the "hire bartender" function on the bar, which is a bummer cause then I can't pick the sim I want for the job.

I wish there were better employer interactions available. Like, with the butlers form the vintage glamor pack they autonomously do stuff but you can also ask them to do specific things: clean something, repair an object, make a drink, cook a meal. It would be nice if with small business employees, once you set their tasks you could also have the ability to click on the sim and manually instruct them to prioritize one on of those tasks. So, for instance, if I hire a sim and give them the work tasks "tend bar" and "clean", I could then use my sim to direct them to do either of those tasks if desired. And for gameplay flavor it would be cool if instead of just "criticizing" you could specifically say things like "reprimand for not doing tasks" or "critique poor quality items" or something.

Oh, also, I wanted my sims lounge to have a sort of "yacht club" vibe, so one of the customer activities was playing board games (so they could play cards and stuff) BUT the way the picker works the customers are constantly trying to start games with my sim who is the owner and the employees rather than each other. So...yeah. That doesn't really work either, cause it then stops the people working form doing their tasks. I feel like there should be a way to turn a setting for that? Idk, like...workers available for customer socialization or not type things? I'm not even sure.

Idk, I just wish the whole ting worked a bit better.
