[BH] Hobby class as a customer: no other Sim joins

I noticed that when asking a business employee or owner to start a class as a customer visiting the business, the class starts but no other Sims join the class as attendees.

This is immersion breaking, and looking at the tunings, other Sims are supposed to join the class, but I couldn't figure out why they don't. As some objectives require to be social or make friends, it also makes those class less interesting as you only option becomes your teacher.

Tested without mods of course, on multiple businesses.

for completions sake could you please add tags for your platform. Thank you.

  • Not sure if this is what you mean:

You can "Invite to Join Class." In my test game, Sims - that I invited - and other Sims - not invited - did eventually join the class. But they do tend to wonder off. I also think it depends of the class. Some classes seem to just be Sims standing around - apparently - listening to the lecture.

Still working on getting the hang of small businesses and hobbies.

Yes that's it, good to know this option exists 🤗

I thought at least some other Sims were supposed to join it by default, but maybe it was a choice made by design. Not thrilled of having to micromanage who joins the class if I start it as a customer, but at least that's possible this way. Thanks 😊

  • I hope this will help you, as someone who was having the same issue and couldn’t find an answer, here is what I had to do and unfortunately I don’t haven’t found another solution :(

I tried to start a new game to see if it works for me at all, yes it does but I had to make sure the items you need for the class are placed inside the whiteboard area, you will see the grey blue outline when you place it. Your room can be smaller but the items needed for the class need to be in the area and not at the closest edge of the outline. The customer appears and then automatically attend the class, no need to do anything!

Also to note I don’t have the interaction anywhere when I click on customers and have them join my class, as I said they do it automatically as soon as you start a class. I also tried it with mods on and off. Still no interaction where I can do that.

Unfortunately I had to save my household in my library with all there skills and make sure it doesn’t show that it has custom content, same for the house or lot I want them in. Then I started a new game with my so said household and it finally worked, so now I have to rebuild the house and start from new, but now it works at least. Sucks tbh but yea that’s what I figured out hope that helps!!

  • Unfortunately I don’t see my comment I just wrote but to make it shorter, I had to start a new game with my previous household I saved in my library and had to make sure that there is no custom content or anything saved with it, same with the lot or house…I also don’t have the interaction for my customers to join the class they do it automatically. I just had to made sure that the objects needed for the class are inside the whiteboard area which is gray blue, not at the edge of line though. The room you place the board in can be smaller but the objects needed to be inside that area.
