Trying to setup an old lot to be a residential small business and cannot open as it says there is no valid lot and that I should purchase a venue. Did I set this up wrong or am I missing something? A...

I bought a new lot for my small business. Registered the business, built and set it up, even hired employees and ran it, successfully, for a day. It will not let me assign it to the lot it is on. It will only let me choose a lot in the Nordhaven world that her previous business was on.
She owned a pottery business in the new world and then sold it to buy an Art business in Windenburg. She can not assign the Art business to any lot other than the one that the pottery business is on.

Having this same issue. I haven't started playing the business at all. First I bought the empty park lot [Small Business VENUE] in Nordhaven, then registered a small business. Then I bulldozed the empty lot and made a building there, assigned the rooms and furnished.
When I open the business panel it only has the Sim's HOUSE listed as [Small Business Residential], and the [Small Business VENUE] that I bought was no longer listed. I went to the lot and it says no business assigned. I read in here that you'd have to re-sell then buy it again but the lot costs quite a fortune now that it's a full-fledged building. Help? 😕
