I do not know if this is a bug or an intended feature, but if it is the latter it renders all food-focused businesses in the newest pack completely unviable.

I don't think this is a B&H thing. I've had the same issue with a GTW bakery :/ I even started making a spreadsheet to track how much each size sold for to make sure I got the most out of something, and the party size never sold for more than a single plate. I didn't go very far into the spreadsheet to make it worth sharing, but it's definitely NOT B&H ONLY.
Are you sure? I opened up a GTW retail to quickly test it and Im selling my excellent quality cakes for a few hundred simoleons like I used to. Really hope they fix the way customers are buying food in BH soon though.
It's not every dish that happened in my bakery. I opened up my spreadsheet to find an example, and doughnut holes (1) sold for $7 each, while a plate with (4) sold for $6 :/ all excellent as well
I didn t had problem to sell weding cake about full prize and more with GTW... Same if i was puting it at saling table the price was corect... same with Home Hustle
