I threw a birthday party for my Sim and one of the missions to get a gold medal was to have Sims drink something. I set up a bar and hired a mixologist, who came but didn't do his job. He just wandered around. That might be a bug on it's own. I ended up having my Sims make drinks at the bar for themselves and drink them, but the mission didn't update. It still said that 0 drinks had been drank. I made sure that my Sims finished their drinks, and 3 of them got one so it should have been completed.
