I wonder if turning black has again something to do with having a storage container (incl photo frames) anywhere on the lot. I remember this was in the past once the case, that just having some container on the lot was impacting photos turning black. I didn't test it myself yet, just wanted to share this vague memory, as it could fit with some of the reports..
