Black Photos (Patch 1.119.109)

Do not put filters on your pictures until this is fixed, if it’s ever fixed. This is the issue I’m having from what I’ve figured out.

Never had the black photo issue, but now since this “update” I am having the issue. This was the number one bug I never wanted to have as pictures are very important to me in game. I saved yesterday and came back today and all of the photos but three on my walls are black and I can’t figure out how to fix them. 

They were in simple frames on the walls (not digital) and I didn’t have them in storage. I used the dark wood frames for all so that’s not the issue. They are different sizes and orientations so that’s not a commonality between them. Also, they were all taken with the most expensive camera. Some on a tripod and some not. 

For me, it seems that it was only the pictures that I had brightened with the filter option. The three that didn’t turn black did not have a filter. I’m relieved that I think I discovered my personal issue (I know it’s different for some) but super frustrated that something so simple was not corrected. Also, pictures taken in this game are notoriously dark, it’s rare I don’t need to brighten them. However, I will definitely not be adding a filter to pictures any time soon. Knowing EA, it will be months or years. 

I tried and failed to bring the pictures back by changing them all to “no filter” and saving and coming back in the game after exiting. Didn’t think it would work, but it was worth a try.
