I’m having this bug and nothing fixes it. If I save the room or house to the gallery they are still black when I place a new room. Putting in inventory and moving out does nothing. Creating copies before exiting the game does nothing, they will be black too. Traveling to a different lot and saving before exiting doesn’t help. Even mods that are supposed to fix this issue don’t help. I’m so disappointed. I picked up the sims 4 after not playing for a year and am immediately hit with bugs that severely impact the quality of my game. This is an important feature to family players. I’m done with this game and I won’t be picking it up again. I’ve invested well over a thousand dollars into this game but it’s not even worth trying anymore. The constant bugs and broken packs are too much. So incredibly disappointed.
I feel this! I’ve been playing since the early 2000s (I don’t want to think of the costs I buy every pack when it comes out) and this might be the bug that breaks it all for me. It’s been months of being unable to play my legacy family and I even tried to start a new one but the bug persists. It’s heartbreaking
