Started playing this game vanilla, hoping no mods or CC would help me avoid this infuriating bug, but now I have another legacy play ruined by it!
From what I can tell, according to player reports (who seem to be testing the game more thoroughly than the Sims team), the photos that went black appear to be ones that had the "Bright" filter applied to them. Of course, when I try removing the filter from the frame on the wall, nothing happens. The photos are probably gone black forever.... great.
