Black Sims (Lost texture after Patch 1.116.223/1.25)

Hey all, 

For anyone experiencing this issue, we would like to take a look at saves from before yesterday's patch if you have them (steps for sharing your saves with us can be found here). 

We would also like to know if the affected Sim was downloaded from the gallery for our investigation.

Downloaded Enchanted by Nature today and when I booted the game, all sims with custom tattoos had their skin be missing/ looking like a void. I’ve seen other posts suggesting the custom tattoos or drawing tools being the cause, however I’m not certain how to fix this if it’s even possible. I’m on console so it isn’t a mod issue.

I use this save to play the event, it was fine last Tuesday when I did part 2. I logged in today to play part 3 and this is how I found it.

this same happened to me today, just woke up and opened the game and my sim was just black. nothing like this yesterday. Only 2 sims affected so far, both resently edited. both actually have lot of tattoos. no cc, only the cas background mod. oh and i have automatic updates so idk what time yesterday my game was updated. 

1. They they newly black out after this patch or before ?
2. Do they have any custom tatoos ?

Just a note - after the patch I noticed all my pets with custom painted coats had turned completely black. Replacing the pet with a fresh copy from the gallery didn't work - once in gameplay mode, they'd turn black too. 

After some troubleshooting, I discovered it was the default eye replacements for dogs and cats that caused it - specifically Wrixles' eyes. This was the only dog and cat CC I had and removing it allowed new pets to be created and not turn black in game but it didn't fix the ones already affected. I had to revert to an earlier save pre-patch 

If you have default replacement pet eyes, I'd suggest removing them entirely before updating. Unknown if this affects horses that use Wrixles' eyes, I use a different default replacement with no issues.
