I have been doing the blast from the past event and the game keeps resetting the event. I have completed the library and museum tasks for the 5th time now but no matter what I do, once I close the sims 4, it resets to the same tasks and then I have to do them all over again which means I can never make any progress with the event no matter how far I get. The game will still load from when last save, which I do after doing the task, and the tasks still resets.

What security software are you using ? Possible that it's blocking your user files, keeping the game from overwriting the necessary files.
Well, the last event ran perfectly fine, and this event was going fine up until that point. After posting this issue I decided to try again but this time instead I played it until all of each week's events were checked off and that seemed to override whatever was happening, but even so I shouldn't need to do that.
There's always changes to security software programs that can make something not work anymore.
Community ManagerMine resets to "show shard to Emit" which is a problem when I just started a new save and really don't want to go back to the save I stopped playing - I had to find a shard in bb.showhiddenobjects which is no joke given that searching by name doesn't go to the object and there's so many items in that menu the scroll bar is nearly impossible to use too.
Also when I go to the menu to claim my rewards, it says I have to be online to claim them .. but I am online, and there's no information about how to tell the game that, and for that matter I can't find the setting to tell the app to keep me logged in when I'm offline so I can't load the game without being online either.
