Blast from the Past: Unable to claim reward/Gnome fix failure message

I am unable to collect the blast from past event rewards. I had no problems, completing the event, but when I went to claim the reward I keep getting claim failed. Please wait and try again as the gnomes to try to fix the failure.

Please try the following troubleshooting steps:

  • Restart the game
  • Move the following file to the desktop (PC/Mac only): Documents>Electronic Arts>The Sims 4>accountDataDB.package
  • Try going offline in EA app, start the game offline, then exit, go online again and start backup online.

    Do you get the same message ? Did you try a power cycle on PS ?

  • I have completed the second week of the blast from the past rewards event and I can’t claim my rewards because it says that the gnomes are working on it and I play on console I’ve even tried restarting my console and I’m still getting this pop up saying try again later because the gnomes are working on the problem

    Did you try a power cycle on console (think that's what a reset is called)
