I placed the Surprise Birthday Cake item, and when i hovered over it, it showed me that there were 12 servings available. But when i had a sim grab a slide, the number went down to 4.27 servings, and in total it ended up having only 6 servings

I noticed the same, something like 11.96 portions left after grabbing one piece (not sure about the number exactly, but it was close to 12 with two decimal places).
I had my sim do the surprise interaction without taking a piece and afterwards it said that there was 0.85 servings left.
I tried to replicate the issue today but it seems to be working correctly now. The first time it happened I had had my sim do the Surprise interaction first, but i tried it again and it seemed to work fine
