NataliaFolta Please install the newest driver Intel provides for your graphics chip:
https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/products/86210/graphics/processor-graphics/intel-hd-graphics-family/intel-hd-graphics-5500.html
Run the installer as an admin: right-click the download and select "Run as administrator." Restart your computer afterwards and before trying to play.
Sometimes a laptop will have software that blocks the installation of drivers not from the manufacturer. The driver above is compatible with your hardware, but if you get an error when trying to install it, you can try the newest driver Dell provides instead. It's older than the one above but newer than the one you currently have installed. You can find it here:
https://www.dell.com/support/product-details/en-us/product/inspiron-15-3543-laptop/drivers
Make sure you get the driver for 64-bit Windows 7.
As a side note, your laptop could be updated to Windows 10 if you were interested. As you'll see on the site above, Dell provides drivers for Windows 10, which you'd download and set aside, then install after installing Windows 10 while offline. That would prevent Microsoft from installing generic drivers instead.
