Building mode doesn't work

there's a few similar thread for build mode so could provide the following info:

• What platform are you on ? Mac or PC ? (Please pick a thread tag)
• Did you never have mods/cc or remove them (Please pick a thread tag) ?
• Does dies happen on every save you try ? Also new ones ?
• Have you tried resetting your user folder yet ?

This is happening to me on Xbox with both new and old saves. I also tested if this was saves that are loaded from auto save versus manually saving. I also tested going into build mode with no family on the lot and with a family. Same thing happens: hand grabs items and will not release them despite the green color indicating it’s okay to put them down. Sometimes I have had to force close the game. Also tried deleting the reserve file on XBox (not the save file). 

This started today for me. I last played the day of and the Wednesday after the April 28 update, and everything was fine. But today (Saturday) it’s not. Was something updated in the background that we’re not aware of? 

Edited to add: I’ve tried on lots from the gallery, lots I’ve been playing on, fresh base game lots and in both rental and regular residential. Also happens to community builds.

If there isn't an active thread dedicated to each of the bugs you're experiencing in the link above, please go ahead and create a new bug report, one per each individual bug after testing if the issues persist after removing any mods/cc. That way, we can track things easier and provide relevant information regarding the specific bug.
