Whenever my sim calls another sim on the phone I constantly get "bad reception due to off grid" moodlet. Neither lot is off grid and it seems to happen no matter what lot the call is from. This happens with every sim and has been happening since the new update.
So this isn't new it's been going on for YEARS! Crinrict knows it, they have been involved in posts about it going back SIX YEARS! Don't get your hopes up because I'm sorry to say this won't be getting fixed any time soon. The devs and EA DO NOT CARE anymore.

Happened to me for the first time today. Playing on one of the starter lots in Willow Creek, definitely not off-grid. PC, mods have been removed for some time.
Yes this exact thing just happened to me when I made the negotiate a bonus interaction when my lot is not off the grid yet i get the off the grid moodlet and it lasts for like 3 hours or something.
Experiencing this as well in my home lot in Ravenwood. Lot has never had the off-the-grid lot trait.
Since July 2025, I’ve noticed that when my Sims make phone calls, they receive either a positive or negative moodlet related to being “Off-the-Grid,” even though the lot does not have the “Off-the-Grid” trait assigned. I have tested this extensively: I repaired the game via EA App, removed all mods and CC, created new save files, and tested on completely clean residential lots with no traits at all. The bug still occurs consistently.
It seems the game incorrectly believes the Sim is on an Off-the-Grid lot during phone calls, regardless of the actual lot settings. This is very similar to a bug that was reported and fixed several years ago (around 2020), but it seems to have returned recently, possibly after a recent patch.

I've had this issue for a while now, happened right after one of the latest updates. I only have base game and Get To Work and no mods or CC and the "Off the Grid" isn't a lot trait that is available to me.
It happens to me too. In every saves and even though the lot never had the off-the-grid trait
Same issue on PS5 console
I have the same issue but I'm playing in Willow Creek on Console. So definitely no CC or Mods. I have not tested in other worlds
