Ideas
Hello, I added a basement to my Sims’ existing house. The only problem is, the camera/zoom cannot go past the ceiling level of the basement. If I go outside the bounds of the basement (into the dark abyss), the camera bounces back down to floor level of the basement. But as soon as I pan back over to the basement rooms, the camera bounces back up to ceiling level. I can use Tab to get lower, but as soon as I come out of Tab mode, the camera bounces back up. This is not an issue on the upper levels of the house. Any ideas? I have no mods/cc, and my game is fully up to date. Thanks in advance!

I’m having the same issue and losing my mind

This seems to be an issue with Nordhaven lots. Camera stuck at ceiling level in basements. Other worlds don’t have this issue.

HannieNannie Have you edited the camera.ini file? What you describe can happen when you do that. You can also try lowering the basement too? But that will increase the gap between the bottom of the floor above and the top of the basement walls.
Hope this helps.

I am having the same issue in nordhaven. It is very annoying and really ruined the immersion of my basement tattoo shop as I can't hear anything, it makes the sounds muffled like you're outside. Only nordhaven and I have never done anything with any camera files.

OMG😯 I was wondering if this was a problem in my game alone, so thank you for posting here for others to see. True indeed, it's a basement in Nordhaven that I'm having issues with the camera bouncing. Muffled sounds. Can only get closer to the ground while in the "dark abyss" as OP stated. Basements in other worlds do not present this problem.
