Can’t follow teen sims to highschool

this is exactly what happened to me! i accidentally followed all of my teen sims to school instead of just one and a couple of them got stuck there after school ended, so i had to use mccc to teleport them home. then the next day i didn't get the follow message at all, and the two who i teleported said they had a "day off". this glitch where following multiple sims to school breaks the whole system has been happening to me probably since i first got the pack when it came out and it's happened both with and without mods. i can't believe they haven't realized this is an issue yet

I loaded up my game today and suddenly there is no pop-up asking if I want to follow my teen sims to high school or send them alone. When I played yesterday I could join them, but not today. 8am comes and they simply head off to school on their own.

I have 3 teens on the lot as the only playable characters (they are runaways with their own homestead.)

I do have high school mods in my game. When I first found this issue, I immediately turned the mods off to see if that would fix it. It did not, so I kept them off and repaired the game. This also did not work.

I did not find another report on this, but hopefully it can be fixed soon. My sims story needs me to join them to progress, unfortunately. :( 

This bug has been notified time ago, from the moment it came out. Since the change of Forums format, all the old comments have disappeared, thus it seems as new, but it's not.

This is an issue for me as well. I have been playing my 3 teens (runaways, they are the only ones on the lot other than animals) for a while now, joining them at high school often. Suddenly the pop up asking if I wanted to join them no longer came up and they went off to school on their own. 

The "follow" button is enabled on all sims.

I have all packs, but not all kits. And I play on PC.

I have one mod, the better high school mod by Aramiteus, which is updated. I have since turned off mods to see if that was the issue, and repaired my game. I have had the mod for quite some time, almost the whole time they were teens. 

One weekend following them to school worked, the next weekend it didn't.

I recently bought the high-school years pack and everything works accept the following to school feature, which is why I bought the pack. I've literally tried everything, and it just won't seem to work. Is anyone else experiencing this? I just want to control my sim at school! 

Has anyone else had this issue and know how to solve it?

This just popped up as an issue for me too. My child sim aged to a teen on Thursday in game. On Friday in game I got the message to follow the sim to school, but the event list was not fully populating on the top left. It said "just a normal day at" along the top banner, but didn't have the normal progress bar on tasks to complete. Then on Monday in game, I got the message to follow the sim to school. But it was also Rebate Day on the calendar. The Rebate Day banner showed up, but no school banner/task list. And then on Tuesday in game, no message popped up and the sim went to school as if it was a rabbit hole, even though the "follow message" enable button was marked. This wasn't a problem before the most recent update/patch.

I have this issue now too! Last week when I played I could go to the school but the school event timer looked like a holiday so it was difficult to complete. A few days ago my teen didn’t get the pop up for me to join but I could still send him alone (I couldn’t choose for him to work hard or anything though and it said he was still at school even when the day ended). And today it just says day off permanently! I can’t even send him to school at all!!

I also am not able to follow my Teens to high school. I went the first day and it was lottery day and you going on any kind of holiday seems to break everything if you don't have a mod installed which I did not know about and now the game does not ask me to follow them to school anymore.

This is happening to me as well, on Mac, no cc/mods, it was working fine then one day the teen was at school and when the day ended, she couldn’t go home or do anything. I had to exit the game completely and since then I can’t follow her to school. I have the button selected to follow her, but when 8am comes around she either ignores it or just goes with no prompt to join coming up at all.

I can't follow my sims to highschool . Enable follow message is on. I have tried repairing the game. Playing with and without modes  . Clearimg the cash in the EA App. Nothing sims to be working. Also my sim shows at school even when they are at home. I have to make them travel off lot to go to there after school activites
