Can’t load saves/lots

Do you have any LastException files in Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 ?

- Delete the ones you have
- Trigger the error again
- Check if new ones are created
- If that is the case, please copy/paste the content here. You can open the file with any text editor.

Deleting the file won't fix your issue. Posting the info is meant for troubleshooting. 

Also is this limited to a certain save or also new ones ?

I am having the exact same problem, cannot load any families i've created and sends me back to the worlds menu whenever I hit "play" I have no last exception files and have repaired the game 3 times.. must be the new update.

Same here, haven't been able to play my game for like a week !!! 

same thing with me & i'm so upset how long will EA takes to fix this problem?

I have not tried this yet. I will have a go when I log back on later. It happens with all of my saves.

when posting in this thread, please do the following things

• Move your mods folder to the desktop and delete the localthumbcache file. Then test on a backup of your save game.
• If it happens with the mods folder removed, post possible lastException files as explained in this post: Can’t load saves/lots | EA Forums - 12504249 
• If you are on console, please make your own thread posting in as much details as possible what you are seeing.

I deleted the last exception files and also deleted localthumbcache file, so a new one would regenerate. This has solved the problem for now. I have even been able to re- add my CC back into the game without crashes. Thank you for the tip

I am on PC. I took all my Mods and CC from the game and I still had the same problem.

so this is solved for you ? Sounds like you still had some lingering mod stuff since you didn't delete the localthumbcache file. Always do that when you add/remove mods/cc.

I'm having the same problem. nothing I do seems to work.

what did you try ? Are you using mods/cc ?

I am having the same problem. I have repaired the game, I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game. I have deleted my game files. Tried with and without mods. I've spent more time "fixing" the game than playing it. Please fix this. I am playing on pc. 

Did you try a folder reset as posted in this thread ?

Any lastException files ?
