I am having the exact same problem, cannot load any families i've created and sends me back to the worlds menu whenever I hit "play" I have no last exception files and have repaired the game 3 times.. must be the new update.

are you using any mods ? What platform are you on ?

Does a new save or also not ?

    I am on PC. I took all my Mods and CC from the game and I still had the same problem.
