Troubleshooting

"Can't intersect any objects", even though there are none.

I'm having a really frustrating issue on one of the corners of my lawn.

I'm trying to put things down, but even though the space is completely empty, it still wont place and instead says that I "can't intersect any objects", or something like that.
Thing is though, sometimes it works. Especially if I move the thing one grid at a time. BUT, it eventually causes issues where I can't properly use the thing I've placed, which is why I can't just solve it with bb.moveObjects.

The lot I'm using came with a chicken coop, and it started with the issue that hens just got stuck in the coop and couldn't get out until I moved the coop and then moved the hen. But then when I tried putting the coop back, that's the first time I ran into the issue with that error. So I had to try and place it where it worked and then slowly inch it closer to where it stood before. And after a while, all of that repeated over and over.

Well, I remodelled a bit and moved the coop so that I could use that spot for planting plots instead. And at first they placed without any issues, but when my sims had planted giant seeds, they just dissappeared and ended up in the households catalouge instead. I've tried to put them back several times, but they just keep jumping back into inventory. I tried moving the plot a bit, but then I ran into that same error once again and couldn't put it back where I wanted it again.

Has anyone else had this issue, and is there any way to fix it?

  • Fridutt That sounds like you have an invisible object stuck on at least one tile.  Since you said it's on the corner of the lot, I'm not sure this will work for you.  But, if you can, draw a small room around the tile(s), then delete it.  That might clear the tile.  If the tile(s) is an edge tile, then the only option is to save the lot as it is to your Library, bulldoze the lot, then replace the lot while you are on the lot.  Not sure that will work but it does sometimes.  Since the chickens are attached to the coop, you might have to buy them again too.

    Hope this helps.

Thank you so much for the tips! I'm absolutely gonna try them, but crossing my fingers that the first solution will do it :)

    Hi!

No, not really. I moved to another lot, and it's happened once or twice there too, but I can get by it with moveObjects, so it doesn't really bother me now. But the issue was still there on the old lot when I moved my sim.
