whenever i try to get into cas it is just stuck at the loading screen, i saw someone else say it was happening to them and they removed the multiple columns mods and it worked after, i removed the mod, repaired the game and retared it multiple times and its still not working and just on the loading screen, is there anything else i can do to try to fix it?

i had the same issue but when i removed the more traits in cas mod then it started working again! such a shame tho cuz i love that mod🥲
Me and my sis are having the same problem!! We cannot open CAS. I click new game and it is just a white screen. She went into CAS to edit her sims and its just the loading screen that has the spinning plumbob. What do we do??
I fixed my issue with the dresser for now. That doesn't mean it's a complete fix. I had to delete the sim that I was playing in my previous save before I downloaded the patch (s) I had to download 3 ...three patches to get this game to rotate right. That's 3 patches after today(midnight).
The sim in question was Liberty Klien. I had uploaded her as a pure vanilla version with existing skills and her cc version would not change outfits correctly. I had to delete her (the cc version) from my game. I then went into my library and downloaded the cc. Free version of her with no mods or cc.
I was able to get CAS to work properly once I deleted the sim that I was playing in my current save. I had to install 3 patches with a fourth patch waiting. I'm playing off-line in order to not update again. All my mods are updated (3), and my game is running fine. I do not have the latest EP.
I am not having any issues with my cc or mods in the game. I removed my sims 4 folder with each patch and then re installed it each time with all my mods and cc.
I'm having the same issue. Tried to report the bug and couldn't make the post either. For some reason getting stuck on "preview." I'm upset that even the bug reporting portal is bugged. I've tried removing specific mods and repairing, didn't work. Tried removing ALL mods and repairing, also didn't work.
Have you tried removing the sim(s) or household that you were playing in the current save after you patched your game and then play a new household without cc or mods?
That worked for me. I was able to add my cc and mods back once I tested the household and I have no issues using CAS now. I'm not sure if this is a fix.
Does anyone knows how to fix this issue? I’ve been trying to figure it out for the last 3 days. CAS isn’t working since the latest update. I already restarted my game, updated my cc and mods folder but it won’t work when I open CAS, it just stays on the loading screen.
Honestly, i'm probably going to lose my save. I just removed WW and will try to see if CAS works for me now, if not, i'll delete my save and see if it'll start up with a new one.
Help chat says it's not a known issue and they'd report it to the technical team, which is bull, since we're like 80 % of players having this issue with or without mods.
I have spent the last two days navigating this game, I think I downloaded three more updates from EA, the last one broke everything again, infinite loading of CAS, having to force restart my computer, if you hit Resume, oh, forget it, you will have to force restart again. After they fix the bug things started to work, but then the new updates messed up everything again. I am really getting tired of this. Any news on this new mess?
yeah, this is happening to me too. i haven't updated to the newest version (from a couple of hours ago iirc) so i'm not sure that fixed anything, but i've deleted a lot of CC from my folder including eyelashes, more traits, zerbu's mods, and other ones that were mentioned in this forum- yet, my CAS won't open in game when i right click + edit in CAS. it's very annoying and as someone who has A LOT of cc I've come to terms that i'll have to either wait for an update or sift through all of my cc files in a painstakingly annoying and long process.
my guess is that it's something supposedly innocuous like an accessory, clothing, or hair. i'm going to clear out all of my scripted mods again, and potentially post an update to see if it's one of those mods that is messing up my game.
A lot of people plating without mods and CC also have this problem. It's been going on for the last 5 days. So annoying
I've seen people without mods or cc having the same issue, so it's definitely the update, not the cc or mods at this point. **bleep** haven't been updated yet, so i tried removing it and i'll see if it makes a difference.
One mod I had to take out to make CAS load for me was the More Traits Mod in CAS. I've heard some people say that removing trait mods won't help for CAS but it worked for me. My CAS wouldn't load at all and wouldn't even show a loading screen (just blank white) even though I had no columns mods installed prior to removing the additional traits and More Traits in CAS mods.
I had this problem, so I tried to start the game without any mods or cc but now the game is not even starting up anymore ðŸ˜
I found a few more CAS mods to deactivate and I was able to get in Create a Sim after doing so, but it's not working well. I can't get access to a few facial features, and the likes and dislikes/preferences don't generate for me :/
I have the Sims 4 Mod Manager and I deactivated all of my CAS Custom Content--like more columns, unlimited likes and dislikes, more traits, background, etc.--And I still cant enter Create a Sim.
