My cat keeps saying it wants a clean litter box when the litter box is already clean. I've sold it and rebought it, I sold it again and bought a different one but it keeps saying he wants a clean litter box

Is there any progress on this bug? I'm having the same issue (May 5, 2025). It would be nice if cats could also go outside when they go prowling or something.
I've had this issue several times. The main litter box HAS to be on the first floor. Then, if your cat still cannot "find" the clean box, have your sim call the pet over in front of it. Usually the cat will hop in it. Obviously this is not ideal. Sometimes it solves the problem for that pet, sometimes it will still happen. But overall, this is a temporary workaround I've found. Hopefully they can find the issue and solve it though.
I added a cat to my household, and put a litter box in my lot before doing so. The cat continuously has an uncomfortable moodlet and upon pressing “what’s wrong” always says it wants a litter box.
the litter box is in an accessible place and clean. i even moved it to right infront of where the cat was and the same thing happened.
This is a frequent issue for me. I'll place a litter box, sometimes with and sometimes without bb.moveobjects on, and the cat will use it just fine for a while, but then randomly the cat will no longer use the litter box. I've had this happen in saves with and without mods. Moving the box sometimes helps, but not always, and eventually the cat will once again not acknowledge the litter box in the house.
