Really having issues understanding the issue, tbh. It would be great if you could add some pics of how it looks in your game.
The title suggests its' something that happens when you use search.
this is what I see when I create a new dog in CAS
and when I use search that's what I see
If this is when you take the dog back to CAS once it's placed in the game, you will likely need to use cas.fulleditmode to change the breed.
