Same issue on Mac. New sim in new save. I was using only 2 mods - UI extensions and one that lets my plants grow all year round. I have since disabled the mods and started another new save after repairing the game but this didn't solve the problem.

I refuse to play without Mayor Whiskers in my household.

Also, I am fed up with these silly events (Nature's Calling etc). How can I get rid of them?
