I just stumbled on this issue today. Since I usually play with old saves that don't have the bug, I wasn't aware of it, but every new save is affected (clean folder, repaired game, new save, no mods). Thankfully I saved my households in my library, so I can put my pets back in the game, but this concerning to say the least
