I reinstalled the game today after being away for awhile and ran right into this when starting a new save.

I didn't check Manage Worlds, but on the World Map screens, pets are missing from the Cats & Dogs and Horse Ranch households. They are not on the household thumbnails nor in their homes.

Was a bit of a scare. Should add am playing on Mac. No mods involved.
