Hi,
I’m having a really strange issue and I can’t figure out what caused it.
All EA premade households in Cats & Dogs and Horse Ranch worlds have lost their pets and horses. This happens in every new game, not just one save.
What’s weird is:
- Manage Households still shows that the families have pets/horses
- but in household preview, CAS and Live Mode there are only human Sims
- the animals are completely gone
User-created households work fine — if I create a family with a cat, dog or horse, everything shows up and works normally.
Things I already tried, same result every time.
- repairing the game
- starting multiple brand new saves
- testing on another PC
- playing with no mods
- reinstalling the game
This happens on the same EA account on different computers, so it doesn’t seem PC-related. It feels like the premade households themselves are broken.
Is anyone else experiencing this?

Yeah same thing is happening to me.
Newly installed game on a newly re-installed Windows. All Expansions, Stuff Packs and Game Packs. Completely new game (so no files whatsoever from any previous install).
Exact issue as OraKessy described - The pets are in the household portraits, but as soon as you go into CAS or play the household the pets are gone as if they didn't exist.

This is still happening! I've tried all the things you have (besides testing on another PC) and it is STILL happening!
