It's really frustrating that it's been months since this bug arose and it still hasn't officially been fixed, yet in this time already a user has isolated the problem and created an unofficial fix for it, though that doesn't help the console players.
And as if the bug itself wasn't bad enough, I don't understand why in all this time Maxis hasn't added all the missing pets from Cats & Dogs, Horse Ranch, and For Rent to the gallery so that at the least we could download them and add them into our games while we wait for the actual fix.
Where might I find this user created fix?
