Practice Makes Perfect trait / Rambunctious Scamp aspiration
A child sims with the Practice Makes Perfect trait cannot complete the Rambunctious Scamp aspirations as one of the first steps is Play on a Jungle Gym while Playful, but the trait makes a child sim get into the focused mood as soon as they are active, meaning they never get playful on the jungle gym.
I have tried have the child watch funny videos on a PC, be funny and make jokes with adult etc to get the child in a playful mood, but I as soon as they get on the jungle gym (and therefore is active) they get the focused mood and it overrides any playful I have.
Even if I have the Child Play lot trait on and wait for the moodlet to show on the child, and try and place playful lights near the jungle gym (the lights doesn't seem to work on that item at all), still the child is in a focused mood.
I wonder why a sim should get the focused trait from being active at all? Especially a child since the game has gaming/ homework (sitting still) etc benefit from a focused mood, and ever more so when an active aspiration require a playful mood to complete a level.
Active Imagination / Artistic Prodigy aspiration
This is also and issue with a child sim with the Active Imagination trait that makes the child energised. If you want a child to complete the Artistic Prodigy aspirations be prepared to work harder than normal. Even though the trait itself makes it sound like it should make it easier. (The first section of the aspiration is even called Active Imagination).
On of the first steps in the aspiration is to Draw 2 Pictures while Inspired. Thankfully for this the lights work and the child can take a thoughtful shower, but it still easily gets overpowered with the energised trait if not careful.
The most annoying part is that you have to wait out the very strong 4h long moodlet before you can even start painting because nothing you can with overpower it and if the sim get into the energized mood while painting, you have to start over because it does not count. And the moodlet is frequent.
