Ideas
I once moved animals that were about to be taken by the Grim Reaper into the household inventory. Then, after spending a few days with another household, I found that the animals, which were supposed to die, had their ages reset and were labeled as chicks or young again. I'm not sure if this method still works, but it might be worth trying.
