[CoL] All animals aging up/dying

This is an open bug that was archived. I am not sure if a new bug report is meant to be made.

Animal aging is turned off in options. Aging is turned off for all sims.

I have a save file I have played for a few seasons with another sim. I changed to a another sim family (an existing played family) that I have not touched for a long time and immediately Grim appeared and reaped a chicken. All chickens and the cow are aged to be "one...last...pet.."

  • I just experienced this as well. I rotated to a house with baby goats and they were all immediately reaped. This needs to be addressed. Too many bugs are being ignored for months in this game.

  • I have the same problem with the Reaper taking chickens, cows, and llamas way too early and too often. Animal aging & sim aging are both turned off in my game. I completely agree with rickycanaja I don't like playing with "death" and hate it when my sims, animals, or plants die. I do not own the Life and Death pack. Also all my rabbits die ALL the time! It doesn't matter how I get the rabbits, they die every day! It is so sad!!

I don't know if this is related, but I had a completely healthy normal sim die from laughter. What???? All his needs were met, he was completely healthy. He had one funny conversation with his kids then boom died out of nowhere. He was a young adult. It was incredibly frustrating to try to figure how to resurrect him from a ghost (ambrosia). Then all the family members were grieving. And the grief moodlet stayed with the toddler I can't get the toddler to feel better. I tried to give him moodlet solver but I can't get him to drink it even though it is in his inventory.

I wish there was a way to COMLETELY turn off all deaths in the game. It really ruins the game for me.

  • I have started having this issue as well. I don’t use mods, have all packs except for Batuu. Multiple different saves/households, Grim appears and reaps the chickens/cows/etc even though I’ve had animal aging off. What’s more is that most of the animals were only young adults, and the next sim day Grim took them. This bug makes the game unplayable!

Chickens, Cows, and Llamas no longer Age Up (and eventually die) when Animal Aging is disabled in Game Settings. Players rejoice, but Grim is sad.

    Fixed in patch 1.116.202/2.14
