This happened to me too - I exhibited the cow at the fair, and now she is stuck in the household inventory. Then I bought a llama, which went straight to household inventory. I replaced the shed. I deleted the shed. Nothing works. I can't delete the animals from household inventory. Sometimes their stats improve, sometimes they are bad, but the animals never die. I just ignore all messages that the animals want to come out; if the animals want to come out so much, they wouldn't stay stuck. Because of this bug, I don't want to enter animals into the fair again. What's more, this bug seems to have been known about since the release of Country Living, but still has not been fixed.
