I am still having this issue. The only way I can get an animal in a new barn, or after moving lots, is to buy a new animal. However, all my cows and llamas are still in my inventory. I still get pop ups saying they are going to run away if I don't look after them. As far as I can tell, they don't run away, as they are unable to leave the inventory, but as I can't move them out of the inventory or delete them, I am getting more animals in my inventory every time I move. As I am on my third generation of farmers this is becoming an issue with clogging up my inventory with visually abused animals.
