I found a workaround for this:
Use the Recover Save option in Saves to load an older save from before your household moved. Sell the cow. Move household. Buy a new cow.
I wish I knew about this glitch before I moved and I feel bad for people that don't have an older save to recover the cows or llamas. I can't believe we have so many issues with the main features of Cottage Living (both cows/llamas and chickens) and we've been waiting for a fix for 2 years....
