[COL] NPC Sims not filling regular positions (Patch 1.113.288)

My game suddenly started replacing the NPCs from Henford on Bagley (creature keeper, mayor etc) with randomly generated sims. The original creature keeper is not dead (he's still in my contact list), but does not show up when called. The mayor suddenly died despite neighbourhood stories being off, as well as aging for non-played households.

I just want the townies to stay the same, without aging or being replaced.. I have seen this bug in the past, but this save game is completely new. Started it yesterday I think, and have since downloaded the latest update. Perhaps it has something to do with that?

Please help.

Edit By Crinrict: Adjusted Title fit the original bug report

Did you remove them before the NPCs got replaced ? Can you duplicate it on a new save game without mods for testing purposes ?

There was a bug with this but it was fixed and I can't duplicate it on the current build (although I didn't play in Henford too long).

sorry for the late reply. For me this bug appears after playing more than an hour in the world. Managed to replicate it completely without mods today, in a fresh save. About 1 hour and 15 minutes in (i also made sure to travel around a bit occasionally, but had my house in Henford) the grocery deliverer was replaced by a random sim, but he is still alive.

HI NotSoSwiftly do you mean RL > 1 hour or game > 1hour ?

Fast forwarded to > 1 game hour and no one was replaced for me

Ui, don't think I can currently find the time to test that long :D

I'll put it on review. Hopefully others can chime in if they see it too.

EDIT: Do you have the issue in Evergreen Harbor as well (if you have that pack) That was part of the original bug.

I have the pack but haven't played there much so I don't know if the bug occurs. I have encountered Knox in my world and he's still the Eco guy though

Game is fully updated, 1.114.46.1030 DX11 and I still get random sims taking on the roles of the villagers in Henford-On-Bagley. I don't want to install a mod, I just want them to remain where they are please.

I had thought this was fixed long ago, but suddenly I have a new Mayor and no Creature Keeper to be found. The Grocery Deliverer person always changes so I wasn't really looking out for Rahul.

Michael Bell (Creature Keeper), Lavina (Mayor) and Rahul Chopra are no longer in Household Management. Seems the game has culled/replaced them.

So far - The Grocery Store Owner (Kim Goldbloom), The Pub Owner (Sara Scott) and The Crumplebottoms are fine.

Vanilla test game for EBN. No mods. No CC. Sim is living in Henford-on-Bagley. I have aging off  for all Sims.

This also happened to me recently with the creature's keeper. The strange thing is, when I checked the board in Henford, the original one is still visible.
