no idea really if there's something that could intervene. You could try clean boot your computer: https://help.ea.com/en/help/faq/how-to-clean-boot-your-pc/ to make sure it's not anything interfering in the back.
Thank you for the tip, that looks a lil scary though! 🤣 I'll probably mess around with some graphics settings and give a good deal of thought as to whether correcting the bug is worth risking corrupting my OS. (Because with my luck, that's a distinct possibility.)
