Compiled List 2026: Feedback Request

Disclaimer: EA has nothing to do with any of this. This is me as a helper of this forum providing a service to you.

Hi Guys,

I need everyone's feedback on the compiled list. I plan to do some changes to it in 2026 and would like to hear from you what you think is missing or what would make it easier for you to find reported issues.

Please see below for some general background information as to what is feasible to change and what isn't (and why).

Suggestions from my side

I'm currently thinking of getting rid of the pack pages. Having the list sorted by packs was all fine and dandy when we didn't have 113 DLC with the game (this includes some single items, it's just what my EA app says). With this many DLCs it's impossible to remember which feature came with which pack.

Instead I'm thinking of making categories/features the main entry points. Pack tags would still be included on the bug links but no more pages dedicated to packs except for the newest one.

So there would for example be pages for these

  • Top Ten (or 25) ?, Index of all pages and some other general info.
  • Index of all collections
  • New bugs for Patches/Packs. Replaced each time we have a new major patch or pack although Kits would have their own section on this page and list the newest ones released as well.
  • General Tech Issues/Performance
  • CAS
  • Build Mode
  • Platform specific issues (PC, Mac, Console)
  • Aspirations, Emotions, Skills, Traits (Lot and Sims), ..
  • Careers
  • Base Game features like Sentiments and other things
Pack specific features like like milestones, lifestyles, etc

That's just a short overview to explain the general idea. There will be more also depending of amount bugs but I would like to keep it to fewer pages than the list has now cause it's tedious to update with a lot of pages and with the Show More function also very tedious to navigate (we really need pagination and faster loading, EA team).

Your Suggestions

Now it's your turn. What would you like to be included (see background info for what's possible) ? What do you think about the idea ? You're the ones using it, I personally only use my database or forum search to find stuff.

Let me know :D

Background Info

I collect all bugs that are getting reported (once they hit Review) in my own database. I have been doing this for years so I have a lot of information in there going back all the way to 2019. There's only certain information I have been collecting. While I do most by scraping the HTML page, there are things I need to add manually. I'm collecting things like title, link, status, number of upvotes, dates and platform.

I also manually set a category. So each bug already has one. There's also some work to be done though as sometimes, I'm not that consistent about what goes where and it also changed over time.

I then generate HTML code from the database to create the compiled list and paste it into the thread. This is currently a lot of work unfortunately which is why I don't update as often.

So anything within this scope of data that I have is easy to do. Adding extra info to old bug would be too much but if you think a certain information would be useful to have as well, I can add it going forward.

    HI rujuta4me

    thank you :D

I didn't get around do to adding any AA on the list yet but hopefully I can this weekend. For now it would just go to an empty page :D

As for your feedback on the page itself, it's best if you put that in the forum feedback forum :D

  • Original Post

Same Post, but Crinrict ask me to repost it in Questions & Feedback on EA Forums functionality | EA Forums

Reposting here, in hopes that tags will not be removed in the future.

Instead of fewer/no DLC tags, I would prefer tag-buttons instead for all DLC/Events.

I would like to suggest adding The Sims 4 DLC/Event tag buttons to the bottom of all reports & forms. There are already existing tag buttons for PC/Xbox/PS, UI, Gameplay, Error Code, etc... so adding a separate section for The Sims 4 DLC/Event tags would remove a lot of the daily hassle for everyone. Saves fans from having to learn the new pack tags, saves Crinrict's fingers/brain from turning to mush 💚

Also, maybe consider developing a Python program to help with the workload on the Sims 4 Bug and Feedback Forums. There's an astronomical amount of work here for Crinrict to have to manually do voluntarily (without pay). Plus, "...statuses here aren't always up-to-date...", so they don't provide an accurate representation of the team's efforts to The Sims 4 community and fans. This is not good optics 💔

Forums need to be up-to-date and must be an accurate representation of the team's efforts.

Maybe a Python program (or AI) could help the forums function more efficiently; help the team get caught up on bugs sooner, waste fewer resources, and volunteers/employees could focus on more important matters.

Just a suggestion. Thanks for your efforts/consideration, and good luck with everything!! 💚

  • me personally feel like your pack index post have helped me find bug reports I otherwise wouldn't. So I would have created a new bug report when one already exists if the pack index didn't exist.

It is easy to just click through the packs and see the associated bugs the way it is now. I do remember what feature came with what pack, (it also helps I guess that I rarely add new packs and most of the time add one at a time). But I can see your point of view with the amounts of packs there are now.

also, I think it illustrates the "where" the bug is from when we encounter them. Like when AA released I checked the pack index for it when I encountered new bugs, to see if the pack was associated with the issue, even if I did not own the pack.

Also, I assume that the people fixing the bugs have use for the index? If they can't tell/ remember what feature came with what pack, maybe it is good to have all issues associated with a pack collected in one place for easier assess/ overview?

EA has their own way of tracking things. I doubt they use my list. This is really for users.

I do think for new packs it's good to have them separate as that is what's reported most but there's so many posts now that only have a short list but lots of titles that make it seem longer than it actually is.

Think my main goal is to reduce the mount of pages we currently have, mostly cause of the way this forum works with the show more. At AHQ I never felt it as much of an issue.

  • I think we really need to update also the text about how to send the save files to EA - there is written how to pack it, name it, upload to google drive. But then the link should be sent somehow to EA - and there are no direct messages in the forum at all. There are no options to send dm to anyone.

About categorization - definitely CAS and BB bugs feel the worst on the forum atm, because they are all as comments on the same page. Better to separate them into more subcategories - swatches, missing or wrong tags, actual bugs. This should help.

Not really sure how the first part ties in to the compiled list. Everything about how EA does stuff isn't part of the compiled list at all.

This forum has direct messages just like AHQ had so you send them the link through that and the person that asked in the thread, that's the person you send it to.

If you have concerns about the forum itself, it's best to post in the forum feedback forum.

  • I have another question:

Would you prefer one big list like it is now or multiple Index kinda posts like the collections do now ?
