Retail is BROKEN. I have removed all my Mods, Repaired game, ect. In my Art Gallery I make a painting set for sale at ay 1500.00. If I leave store and return the painting is now worth 200.00 I have to set not for sale then put into inventory and then put back up on wall and set for sale again for it to go back to 1500.00. Seems to only effect Normal and Excellent painting. Not happening with Masterpieces. Just happened on Last update.

I have a few paintings from my sims generations that are excellent quality and have been a few thousand simoleons, but I checked today and they are now like not even 200 simoleons. Not sure if it may affect new paintings that the sims make but this could be a issue. ( I do not have any mods and I play on PC ) Thanks guys for your help!
I merged your post with a related issue. Sounds like the same issue even if it's different circumstances.
I think it has something to do with the Go To Work DLC. My art gallery has the same problem and my other game my detective is messed up now. He goes to search prisoners and they walk away and he is patting down the Air. haha. On my art gallery if I take Pics off of wall put into Inventory and then back up on wall they go back to regular price UNTIL I leave. When I go back the are at 200 again
this has been happening to me too since the most recent patch, it's a bit of a hassle since my sim runs a small business selling her art and she's trying to save up for a non-starter home. :'D
This issue is happening on my vanilla save, base game only (no pack or kits, mods and CC were removed before I started this new save), on current latest patch, I play on PC through EA app.
My sim maxed out his painting level, except for masterpieces, his painting mostly sells around 200-300 simoleans (both medium and large excellent paintings). Someone mentioned that putting in sims inventory and put it out again will revert it back to original price, but in my case, it is not working most of the time. There was a time where a painting price increase back to around 600 simoleans, but most of the times, my painting prices just fluctuates between 200-300, as in the same painting prices changes everytime i put it in my sim inventory and put it out on easel again. And those paintings’ price at completion (excellent quality, max painting level) were around 200 simoleons.
I can confirm that I am noticing this too. I haven't gone into any long term saves since before the Sept 18 update so am only just noticing it now. My sims' excellent paintings are all worth between 100 to 300 simoleons and I know they were worth more, especially the ones I had on the City Living Street Gallery as I only tend to sell paintings worth 1000 or more, otherwise I list them on plopsy or sell them directly.
The masterpieces are still worth a lot (the two I checked in the save I got the screenshot from were worth 3k and 6k ). I did have mods in these saves before the update, but I moved my mods folder out before going into the save where I got the screenshot since I had noticed it in another save when I had my mods in.

This REALLY needs to get fixed. Have ALOT of hours in my Young Artist game. Just bought a gallery and can't play it now. Can't take down and put back up all painting every time I go to Gallery and CAN'T sell a 1500.00 painting for 200.00
Just joining the conversation to say I am also having this issue on all save files even off small business lots, with and without mods, on paintings and on pottery. I can reset the price to anywhere from $200 - 3000 by placing and replacing it.
Any item I make - woodworking, painting, wedding cake, etc - if I grab the item and let go without selling it the price will change in the inventory. I keep doing this until I have a high value and then sell the item. I never noticed this until this most recent update.
