I have the same issue. I play on PC. I recovered an older version of my save, but that fixed it only temporarily. I'm scared to load any of my saves. The Tattoos are not a huge issue for me, but the animals and werewolves I've spent hours painting are getting erased. I really hope this gets fixed soon, because I can't play the game like this.
I've also had the issue with being unable to remove tattoos and them reappearing when i switch to different outfits or go into live mode.
