I'm also having this problem on Xbox (so no mods) fences don't show up when they're adjacent to a roof edge even if the roof edge is super short. (picture the top of a mansard roofline) I tried getting around it by using platforms, but no dice. In the screenshot I'm posting, I have the fence dragged all the way across the front, but it doesn't show up where the tiny roof is. Same with the small bump out on the left.
