[DO] No host or chefs at restaurant (Visit)

Im also having the problem where there is no host since last update on ps5 

this is happening to me as well. All my restaurants are in Newcrest. Host never shows up now, only the chefs, waiters and  bartenders. happy to know it's not just my game but I hope they fix this soon. Going out to eat the experimental food is literally one of my favorite parts of the game!

Same thing on Xbox, replaced host stations in build mode, hasn’t helped.  Saves are recent, but for a few years running dynasty

Host aren’t showing up on restaurant lots after last the update! I’ve tried reloading my game multiple times and the host still won’t spawn! I literally have created a sim to own the restaurant and I shouldn’t have to do that if this something I paid actual money for! Does anyone have work-around for this issue without me having to make create an entirely new sim, just to own the restaurant?

So I've been having issues with one of the restaurants in the sims 4 dine out where there is no sim at the waiting table. I repaired, bulldoze the lot put it back in and still no one has this ever happened to you? What should I do?

I have a lot of restaurants in my regular game. One or two per world. Windenburg has four. I decided to stop adding new restaurants after Horse Ranch. Enough was enough. I've been testing these older restaurants out in a clean copy of my regular game. They all seem to have staff showing up as expected.

I don't build, so all these restaurants came from The Gallery. I have done lots of tweaking and remodeling. They've been owned and unowned.

Next: Vanilla test game. No mods/cc.

I added a new unowned restaurant (from The Gallery) to Ondarion (R&L world).

First visit: There was a chef in place upon arrival but no waiters or Host. I had my Sims hang around for most of a day with no change, so sent them home. 

Second visit: There was a chef and one waiter upon arrival. There should have been two waiters. Again I had my Sims stay around for most of the day and eventually another waiter showed up. Still no host. Oddly NPC's sat at tables and were served. With no Host, my Sims couldn't.

Third visit: There was a chef and one waiter on site, the second waiter showed up late. Waited around most of the day. Still no Host. But, this time my Sims had a tent, a game table, chairs and a cooler so they could camp out.  Eventually, in the middle of the night, a Host finally showed up. My Sims were able to eat breakfast at the restaurant.

Fourth visit: Chef and one waiter on site. Second waiter showed up late. The Host finally showed up after waiting an hour or so. I tried to see if he was stuck at one of the neighborhood entry points, but no. 

Between the second and third visit I tweaked the restaurant to make sure there was nothing blocking access to stations or tables. I checked all the paths onto and around the lot. Checked that there wasn't too much decor placed with moo that might interfere.

Other than the Host always being late, this restaurant now seems to function about as well as my others. (With the usual guests faffing around, etc.)

It just took a lot of visits and waiting around. That's not usual. It shouldn't take four visits for a restaurant to generate staff. Staff should be on site when Sims arrive.

In all my older restaurants - except Del Sol Valley - all of the staff are usually on site when my Sims arrive or they arrive simultaneously. Unless I've deleted them, which I occasionally do. But I've been deleting them for years with no ill effect.

It's been an issue since the most recent update - I have multiple restaurants throughout my save file and all of them are the same issue. No host shows up to the lot no matter how much time passes, even thought there is a chef and wait staff. I've tried all the options online [opting out of fame.. etc..] all to no avail. No CC/Mods on my game, and I've never used them before so just a lil confused on how to solve the issue. 

I tried to click on the tables placed appropriately in my gameplay while it didn't work at all, other sims could sit down and order food from the menu. It's really annoying

The same thing has happened to me.  I noticed last week that when my sims went to dinner - they all got an illness - the llama flu - or whatever its called.  Never happened before.  Then  on Saturday when I sent them to the restaurant - everything worked perfectly.  Then on a Sunday - when they have gone out to the same restaurant -with all staff present - it no longer works.  When you click to book the table -the arrow stays the same and does not change - and if you click on the chair it says your sim cannot book a table it doesn't own.  (I have tested this with four different restaurants - and the same outcome).  

I might be wrong- but, I think this is to do with the new update that is coming this month.  Because it's main focus is the dine out experience - they are adding calories across all recipes and you will be able to control the weight gain for your sims.  So I am wondering if it has started acting up - because of the update to come.  My fingers are crossed anyway that this is is what it is.  Because - yes I have mods - but these are the same mods I have had - no changes - where the restaurant has been working all this time.  Until yesterday.  And now suddenly -(all is not working in the restarant).   My fingers are crossed for us both.
