[DU] Bad university grades regardless of performance

I'm not sure when this started happening, but I sent a sim to college pre enchanted nature update and now post, and both times at the end of the term, they will be failing at least one class and be put on probation regardless of school performance. I was playing with mods pre-update, and now without, either way I have the issue. I sign my sims up for four classes at a time to get university out of the way asap. With the first sim, When I was put on probation, I thought it was a fluke even though I had done all the because I missed homework once or twice, but still submitted and presented the projects and studied for the exams, then she eventually graduated.

The sim I'm playing with currently missed no homework, did all the work, and studied for the exams all while usually under the effect of a charged simanite crystal. She was put on probation last term for failing one class with a D. This term, I signed up for four again, made sure all of the work and studying was completed, especially with my little crystals, and she failed two classes with F's meaning I have to wait until I can retake those to classes so hopefully she can graduate.

With both sims, they were going to university from home. Once or twice I had an issue where playing a sim in the household who was off lot would result in the sim that was already at class, skipping it. The post-class notifications don't seem to be taking account for the work the sims does at home because it's almost always "[sim] did enough work to squeeze a decent grade out of the class, but she noticed other students learning more proactively." Nothing I do to prepare (or not) for class changes this notification. The only time I got A's on the report card were for when a sim had to take makeups and their workload was only one or two classes. In those situations, the notification was still 'decent grade" and I never got the "passed with flying colors" or "studying confidently" moodlets at exam time.

Seasons, also seems to be messing up the term dates. If I'm not careful about when I enroll, the sim may only have to go to two of four classes because a holiday could fall right before a weekend and then it says I don't have class for 5 days, but the sim goes anyway?

  • So for the since the last update, I have had issues with my Sims passing university. They do all the homework they do the exams show up to class in a positive mood do the term paper and the presentation. Everything even study and they still are not passing what is going on? Is anybody else having issues with this?

koreelovee12 I am currently playing an 8-sim household in uni (all born in game with lots of reward traits and bonusses).  I have had no problem with grades so far.  My sims do the presentations, term papers and homework.  They go to class and take notes while there.  The don't do anything else.  And they get A + mostly.  Worst grade was a B that was my fault as I missed that he didn't go to class one day.  So, the issue must be in your game setup.  So, if you are using mods, and especially any mods that affect anything doing with university or even high school, I suggest you take a hard look at them and make sure they are working correctly.  Try playing without them to see if that makes any difference.  It also probably wouldn't hurt to do a game repair too.

    Hope this helps.

I had it recently. I just used MCCC to cheat it because as much as I love Uni, that is frustrating. I can start a clean vanilla save file and send them to school if you want, this weekend. Then do one with the mods in, if that would help?

Still happening for me, too. My Sim had three classes that were all "final exam" classes. She did everything and is even a Senior Order of Enchantment member, which is supposed to improve grades. She got a B and two D's and was put on probation. She was never late for class, always did her homework, and took notes in every class. I am also getting the "other students learned more proactively" message after every class, despite taking notes. Grades seem to be lower for classes that have a final rather than a term paper or presentation. I'm wondering if the pre-exam very uncomfortable/tense mood is affecting the final exam grade, which is then affecting the final term grade. I would send in the save, but I rage deleted it. Oh, one last thing. All of her classes were in Robotics. She was already maxed in the skill because this was her second degree at Foxbury. Is the grade dependent on improving the skill? Is it just arbitrary?

Have you tried let sim stand by ouside the class room every time?
I found that university are extremely strict at time.If you don't step into the classroom within three minutes of class starting, that class straight out failed and get huge effect on finale score.
