I don't know why, but my sim just suddenly unlocked the wall light fabrication recipe. It was after trying the talk about fabrication interaction again with Knox Greenburg, but I had already tried using that interaction at least 5 different times previously with him with no success at unlocking that recipe. I have no clue what caused it to finally work, but I suppose this bug report can be updated to resolved seeing as it finally did, in fact, unlock even though the amount of unsuccessful attempts seems really strange.
