The eco footprint is disabled, but my sims are coughing when outside and get the uncomfortable moodlet, because of the industrial footprint...

Hi there. This is both about the notifications and the environment changing into the footprint the notification indicated. This sometimes happens regardless if I have Eco Footprint Gameplay toggled on or off.
Is the footprint visible like on my pics or do you just see smog and such ?
Sorry for not being so responsive! My job is hectic. No, those little images do not appear when the Eco Footprint gameplay is turned off . However, the environment does change. So if my neighborhood is green, the aurora will be in the sky. Or if my neighborhood becomes industrial, there will be smog.
My sim has a negative moodlet that occurs when the environment has an industrial footprint but eco footprints are disabled and have not been enabled at any point. I enabled it and then disabled it again which got rid off it for a bit but it appeared again.
i just started having this issue since the latest update. Wasn't an issue before but is now and it's really, really annoying. i hate that the worlds have this yellow, opaque looking sky, it's really unflattering.
it is disabled in my game options, that doesn't work, cheats don't work and mods don't work ☹️
I honestly would disable this pack but i really like the cas and some of the build items
i dont know if this is a new issue with the newest patch but this is happening in my game as of January 10th 2026.
